JAMAsoft Saldo
Privacy Policy
How Saldo handles invoicing data, iCloud, ARES, the VAT register, PDFs and email.
Privacy in Saldo
This policy applies to the native JAMAsoft Saldo app for iOS, iPadOS and macOS.
Controller and contact
The controller is Jan Jirásek, Company ID 22411119, Sklářská 332/14, 419 01 Duchcov. For privacy enquiries, contact us at [email protected] or call +420 604 610 133.
What data the app uses
Saldo processes the information you enter to manage invoicing. This includes, in particular:
- identification details of the supplier and customers,
- contact and delivery details,
- bank account and payment details,
- invoices, items, amounts and payments,
- notes and document settings,
- a company logo uploaded by the user.
Data is used only for features you choose to use in the app.
Storage and iCloud synchronization
Data is stored in the device’s local database. If you use synchronization, Saldo stores data in the private CloudKit database of your iCloud account using the container iCloud.cz.jamasoft.saldo.
JAMAsoft does not operate its own database server and does not normally have access to the contents of your private CloudKit database. Data processing in iCloud is also governed by Apple’s terms and policies.
Payment due reminders
The app may display a local notification on the due date of an unpaid document. Notifications are scheduled and displayed only on the device, and you can change permission at any time in system settings.
ARES company lookup
When you look up a company by its Czech company ID, the app sends that ID to the public ARES interface. It uses the response to pre-fill public company details.
JAMAsoft does not receive or store this request on its own server.
VAT register verification
After you enter a company’s VAT ID, the app checks the Czech Ministry of Finance VAT register to see whether the company is VAT-registered and sets the “VAT payer” switch accordingly. Only the entered VAT ID is sent directly from the device to the register’s public interface. You can always change the switch manually.
The result and time of verification are stored only on the device. JAMAsoft does not receive or store this request on its own server.
PDFs, email and backups
The PDF is created directly on the device. Choosing to send it opens the system email composer with prepared text and a PDF attachment. You send the message yourself through your own email account.
Saldo does not use a JAMAsoft SMTP server or store email passwords. PDF files and .jsal backups are saved or shared using system features. You are responsible for their subsequent location and security.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The app contains no advertising SDKs, analytics, proprietary telemetry or tracking across apps and websites. JAMAsoft does not collect invoice contents or contact lists from the app.
When you contact support
If you choose to email or call us, we use your contact details and message content only to handle your request, follow up and protect service security. We process this information for as long as necessary to resolve the request and meet related legal obligations.
Do not send an invoice, database or backup unless you have explicitly agreed to do so with support beforehand. Hide personal and banking details before sending a screenshot.
Retention and deletion
Local data stays on the device until you delete it in the app or delete the app and its data. Synchronized data remains in your private iCloud until you delete it in the app or through iCloud storage management.
Exported PDFs and backups remain in the location you chose, and you delete them yourself. When removing a company, Saldo works only with data for the selected company ID and offers to create a backup before deletion.
Your rights
For personal data that JAMAsoft actually processes, such as support correspondence, you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, or object to processing. Send your request to [email protected].
If you believe we are handling personal data in breach of applicable law, you may also contact the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data flows change, for example through the addition of analytics or a proprietary server service, JAMAsoft will update this policy and the App Privacy information before releasing that version.
Privacy in Saldo
This policy applies to the JAMAsoft Saldo app for Android, distributed through Google Play and as an installer at jamasoft.cz.

- invoices, items, amounts and payments,

Data is used only for features you choose to use in the app.
On-device storage
Data is stored in the app’s local database on the device. The app does not back it up to a Google account; you control transfers off the device through iCloud synchronization or manual backups.
JAMAsoft does not operate its own database server and has no access to data on the device.
iCloud synchronization
Synchronization is optional and connects with Saldo on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Users who enable it sign in with their Apple account on an Apple sign-in page displayed in the app. The app neither sees nor stores the password or verification code.
After sign-in, Apple returns an access token for the user’s private CloudKit database (container iCloud.cz.jamasoft.saldo). The app stores it on the device encrypted with an Android Keystore key and uses it only to communicate with Apple servers (CloudKit Web Services). The sign-in callback URL on jamasoft.cz serves only as a marker intercepted by the app on the device; the page is not loaded and JAMAsoft never receives the token.
Signing out in Settings removes the token from the device. Without sign-in, data remains only on the device. Data processing in iCloud is also governed by Apple’s terms and policies.
Payment due reminders
The app may display a local notification on the due date of an unpaid document. Notifications are scheduled and displayed only on the device. On Android 13 and later, the app asks for notification permission, which the user can change at any time in system settings.
The result and time of verification are stored only on the device. JAMAsoft does not receive or store this request on its own server.
PDFs, email and backups
The PDF is created directly on the device. Choosing to send it passes the text and PDF attachment to your chosen email app. You send the message yourself through your own email account.
Saldo does not use a JAMAsoft SMTP server or store email passwords. PDF files and .jsal backups are saved or shared through the system file picker. You are responsible for their subsequent location and security.
Android permissions
The app uses only internet access for ARES, the VAT register and iCloud synchronization, and permission to display notifications for payment due reminders. It does not use location, contacts, the camera, microphone or other sensitive permissions. Files such as a logo or backup are selected through the system file picker.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The app contains no advertising SDKs, analytics, proprietary telemetry or tracking across apps and websites. JAMAsoft does not collect invoice contents or contact lists from the app.
Downloads and updates through Google Play are governed by Google’s policies.
